Fuel cell technology

Fuel cells directly convert the chemical energy in hydrogen to electricity, with only water and heat as byproducts, allowing for a completely renewable source of power.

Fuel cells have a higher efficiency than traditional power generation technology, allowing fuel cells to be a critical enabler for the sustainable energy transition.

PowerCell Group partnership

PowerCell Group is our exclusive partner for market-leading hydrogen fuel cells with uniquely high power density.

Internal combustion engines, dual fuel and turbines

Pacific Energy is exploring hydrogen-powered and blended fuel solutions that leverage existing infrastructure while reducing carbon emissions.

Future development opportunities
  • Supplement gas turbines with hydrogen: Integrating hydrogen into existing gas turbine systems
  • H2 fuelled internal combustion engines: Developing hydrogen-powered engine solutions
  • Dual fuel blending: Gas/H2 and diesel/H2 blending opportunities

These technologies represent future development opportunities for hydrogen blended and powered solutions.
