The Pacific Energy owned Tropicana Power Station, near the western edge of the Great Victoria Desert in Western Australia, has been powering the Tropicana Gold Mine since 2012.

At commencement, Pacific Energy provided a power solution consisting of a 27.5MW Diesel powered station to enable mine production whilst a dedicated gas pipeline was constructed.

In 2014 when natural gas became available, Pacific Energy converted the station to 100% Gas fired.
