Our net zero
commitment

Pacific Energy is an Australian market leader in the provision of sustainable distributed energy.

With unrivalled in-house capability across all energy technologies, we have demonstrated experience integrating solar, wind, green hydrogen and battery energy storage, with an end goal to maximise efficiencies and minimise emissions.

Operating at nearly 50 sites nationally, we are targeting 1GW of contracted capacity through our long-term supply agreements with miners, businesses, townships and state-owned utilities across Australia.

We are committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2040 across our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, ahead of targets set by the Australian Government. We are also committed to partnering with our clients on their pathways to reducing emissions and achieving net zero.

Our decarbonisation strategy

At Pacific Energy, our purpose is to transition the world to a clean energy future.

We acknowledge the important role the energy sector plays in supporting the decarbonisation of industry and commerce across the globe, and we aim to address this by:

Directly reducing our scope 1 and scope 2 emissions.*

Decarbonising our clients’ power supplies by deploying cutting edge low emissions power systems and integrating renewables into their existing systems.

Providing cleaner energy that enables the production of critical minerals, like lithium, nickel and rare earths, for the global renewable energy technology market.

Supplying projects and partners with critical renewable energy equipment through our international supply agreements and proprietary technologies.

Continuing to research, develop and trial new technologies like green hydrogen, stand-alone power and battery storage systems.

Informing our workforce about our net zero targets to encourage innovation and skills transitions, and to ensure our company-wide activities align with our net zero ambitions.
