Pacific Energy is a market leader in the provision of sustainable distributed energy

Operating for over 40 years, and with owned assets at 49 national sites, Pacific Energy currently has 917MW under contract, making us a market leader by scale in the provision of remote, off-grid energy in Australia. Over time, we have built 103 power stations, totalling over 1.4GW in delivered energy infrastructure.

We specialise in designing, building, owning and operating power generating assets for mining companies, businesses, townships and state-owned utilities across Australia, as a trusted partner from concept right through project life.

Our growth has been bolstered by the acquisitions of KPS (2009), Nova Power (2017), Contract Power (2018), Hybrid Systems (2020), CPE Switchboards and MVLV Power Solutions (2021), and Digital Intelligence and ENGV (2022).

In 2019, Pacific Energy was acquired by QIC, a global investment entity owned by the Queensland Government.

With more than $100 billion in assets under management, QIC offers significant long-term support, financial security and strong commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.

Our Leadership Team

  • Jamie Cullen

    Chief Executive Officer

    Jamie has served as Chief Executive Officer since June 2015. Prior to joining Pacific Energy, he was Chief Executive of Resource Equipment Ltd (2008 – 2014) and PCH Group Ltd (1995 – 2007), both of which were ASX listed resource sector service companies with national and international operations until being acquired under takeover transactions.

    He has extensive commercial and practical experience in growing businesses domestically and internationally, both organically and through acquisitions.

    Jamie has considerable financial, management and corporate governance experience and has served as a Director of several listed companies. He is also a Board member of Guide Dogs WA and Ear Science Institute Australia.

    He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and prior to his CEO roles was a finance executive in the motion picture industry in Los Angeles and before that was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia and the USA.

  • Todd Perkins

    Chief Financial Officer

    Todd was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Energy in June 2023.

    Todd has extensive financial experience and proven leadership capabilities in the Oil & Gas sector. He has held a wide range of senior financial and executive positions with Shell International and its various subsidiaries, after commencing with Shell in 1993.

    His journey with Shell included postings in Melbourne and Perth, Papua New Guinea, UK, Oman, The Hague, Iraq and Russia.

    Todd’s expertise includes successfully leading and delivering business strategy, process and growth, corporate finance and treasury, statutory compliance, corporate governance, and shareholder value optimisation.

    Todd will lead Pacific Energy’s financial strategy and, as a key member of the Executive Committee, identify opportunities that position Pacific Energy for growth and stability in alignment with the strategic direction of the organisation.

  • Michael Hall

    Chief Operating Officer

    With a background as a qualified Electrician, Mike has over 22 years’ experience in the electrical and power generation industry. Mike started his career as an Electrical Apprentice in 2001 at Electrical Group Training (EGT) and in 2004 joined Contract Power. During his tenure with Contract Power, Mike was an integral part of the development and growth of the company. Mike has extensive and practical knowledge in the design, construction, commissioning and operations of numerous power stations in both Australia and Africa.

    As a result of progressive foresight, identifying renewable technology developments and an increased requirement in the market for renewable energy solutions, in 2015 Mike co-founded Hybrid Systems with Aaron Hodges. As a Director, Mike was instrumental in the establishment and start-up of the business. Hybrid Systems now forms an integral part of the Pacific Energy renewables business unit.

    In his current role as Group Chief Operating Officer for Pacific Energy, Mike is responsible for providing leadership and optimising operational performance across the group. He also oversees the group’s strategic focus on emerging technology solutions.

  • Kaye Butler

    Chief People, Culture & Sustainability Officer

    Kaye Butler was appointed to Chief People, Culture & Sustainability Officer for Pacific Energy in April 2022. Kaye is an Executive Manager with experience in Australia and international locations.

    Her recent positions include General Manager Human Resources for Chevron – Global Deployment and Change Management in Singapore and Houston Texas.

    Prior to this, Kaye was the General Manager Human Resource for Chevron Australia and has also held senior roles with global alumina producer, Alcoa.

    In her current role with Pacific Energy, Kaye is responsible for the human resources functions, organisational culture, capability alignment and talent acquisition across the entire group. She is also responsible for the Environmental, Social & Governance functions for the group.

    Kaye has a Bachelor of Applied Science (psychology) and Post Graduate Diploma in organisational psychology.

  • Ashvin Seetulsingh

    General Counsel

    Ashvin was appointed as General Counsel in March 2024 and Company Secretary of Pacific Energy in October 2024.

    Ashvin has been a lawyer advising in energy and resources for nearly 25 years. His experience is wide-ranging and covers commercial contracts, project development, joint ventures, equity and debt, acquisitions and disposals, restructuring and litigation.

    He has worked on nuclear, coal, gas, oil, solar, onshore and offshore wind and hydro power projects. He was a partner in London and Hong Kong with global law firm Clifford Chance, where he was also sector head for oil and gas. His clients ranged from global companies such as ENGIE, Shell, Total and Glencore to small power developers, independent E&P companies and junior miners.

    He has extensive experience in renewables on the National Electricity Market, including contractor and regulatory litigation, and joins Pacific Energy from top-tier Australian law firm King & Wood Mallesons, where he was formulating the firm’s own strategy for energy transition clients.

  • Craig Blizard

    Chief Technology Officer

    Craig was appointed as Pacific Energy’s Chief Technology Officer in July 2023.

    As a qualified Principal Electrical Engineer, Craig has extensive experience across the power and control domains with a specific focus on the integration of intermittent renewable generation and energy storage systems.

    Craig has successfully delivered many complex power systems and energy modelling projects. He has carried out control and communication system design, implementation, and commissioning of projects for stakeholders across multiple industries including defence, utilities, mining, material handling and power generation, both in Australia and overseas.

    Craig joined Pacific Energy in November 2021 as Senior Technical Lead and has worked across the group’s business units providing technology direction and spearheading solutions for existing and future projects.

    Prior to joining Pacific Energy, Craig held roles with Doosan GridTech, ABB as well as boutique engineering design houses and utility businesses.

  • Nicole Passarelli

    Group General Manager - Marketing & Communications

    Nicole joined Pacific Energy in July 2021. A senior marketing leader, Nicole has held various sales and marketing positions within the tourism and transport industry spanning the accommodation, airline, and touring sectors.

    With over 20 years’ experience in consumer and corporate sales, marketing and communications, Nicole has worked on iconic Western Australian brands such as Rottnest Express, Sal Salis and Skywest Airlines.

    Nicole’s recent experience includes a National General Manager, Marketing role for Journey Beyond, where she managed multiple marine brands including Cruise Whitsundays and Journey Beyond Cruise Sydney.

    In her current role as Group General Manager Marketing and Communications, Nicole is responsible for all internal and external marketing, campaign strategy and communications activity for Pacific Energy.

  • Kristy Campbell

    Group General Manager - HSE

    Kristy was appointed as Group General Manager HSE in October 2024.

    She is a results-oriented health, safety and risk leader with almost 30 years’ experience in the resources and mining sectors. Kristy has worked with industry leaders such as Rio Tinto, BHP and Fortescue, most recently leading initiatives to accelerate digital transformation and drive health and safety improvements through the adoption of digital systems and data optimisation.

    Known for her collaborative leadership style, Kristy works closely with teams across all levels to embed safety as a core value. She is passionate about risk management, engagement and making a difference, and she is committed to staying abreast of industry trends and adapting to change.

    In her current role as Group General Manager HSE, Kristy is responsible for guiding the aligned delivery of Pacific Energy’s safety strategy, managing health & safety risks, building HSE organisational capability, and advancing a positive safety culture through continuous improvement.

Pacific Energy — Remote Energy

  • Grant Farquhar

    Managing Director - Remote Power

    Grant was appointed to the position of Managing Director, Remote Power in October 2022 and is responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operation of Pacific Energy’s remote power portfolio and in leading and supporting the future growth of the business.

    Grant gained electrical trades qualifications in his early years before joining Hanson Construction Materials (formerly Pioneer Concrete), working in a variety of different management roles within WA and the Eastern States, as well as holding national positions with the Hanson Group.

    Grant has demonstrated success in managing diverse and complex operational businesses and a proven leadership track record with over 20 years in developing and managing high performance teams and with responsibility for revenue in excess of $700 million.

Hybrid Systems Australia

  • Daniel Jackson

    Managing Director - Renewables

    Daniel is the Managing Director of Pacific Energy’s Renewables business unit. He joined the company in 2020, bringing with him more than 20 years’ experience in the electrical, construction and manufacturing industries.

    Commencing his career as an electrical contractor, Daniel progressed quickly into project management, where he took a leading role in Nilsen Group’s high-profile projects like Fiona Stanley and Hollywood hospitals and the Ritz Carlton’s ‘The Towers’.

    An accomplished project management professional and leader, Daniel’s experience also spans projects in defence, mining and renewable energy, including the Agnew, Greenough and Chichester solar farms.

    In 2020, Daniel joined Hybrid Systems Australia to set up a new Major Projects division with a focus on delivering renewable energy technologies to new and existing power generation clients. The following year, he was appointed General Manager Operations with a mandate to spearhead operational, manufacturing and project delivery excellence.

    In 2023, Hybrid Systems Australia was integrated into Pacific Energy’s new Renewables business unit. Daniel was appointed Managing Director and is responsible for overseeing the division’s growth, innovations and operations.

ENGV

  • Mark Sinclair

    Managing Director - Connected

    Mark was appointed Managing Director, Connected Energy in April 2024. He has over three decades of experience in the energy sector, with a particular focus on renewable energy. His journey began with Shell Australia/Guam, where he honed his skills across diverse roles encompassing strategy, port operations, facilities management, and project engineering.

    Mark transitioned from Shell into the renewable energy sector, joining Stanwell Corporation Ltd as the Wind Group Manager. After his time at Stanwell, Mark joined Windlab, where he served as Chief Executive Officer and Director. Mark played a pivotal role in commercialising cutting-edge atmospheric modelling and wind energy assessment technology, created by CSIRO, and expanding the operations globally.

    Mark has also worked for ARENA as a Transactions Advisor, and as a Renewable Energy Principal Consultant at WorleyParsons, spearheading various renewable energy projects, including the development of comprehensive cost forecasts and the execution of solar thermal initiatives.

    Based in Melbourne, Mark is responsible for driving the growth and success of our east coast operations.

Digital Intelligence

  • Sana has 15 years experience as a specialist control systems engineer working on Steam and Gas Turbomachinery, High Voltage Substations, Renewable Energy Micro-Grids from design through to commissioning. Sana established Digital Intelligence in 2015 and together with the team have been supporting local Darwin and Australia-wide heavy industry customer-base including utility, mining, oil and gas, defence and leading international manufacturers.

    Sana has lived in Darwin for more than 30 years, graduated bachelor of electrical and electronics engineering at the local Charles Darwin University, with additional tertiary qualifications in IT, Project Management and industry-specific certifications for Hazardous Area Design and Safety Instrumented System Design.

    As CEO, Sana continues to lead and grow the Digital Intelligence team on a day-to-day basis.
